While born in San Francisco in 1972, my family moved to Clovis in 1981. After graduating from Clovis High School in 1990, I went on to Fresno State. In 1992, while still in school, I obtained my license to sell life insurance while working for my father’s Protective Life regional office. In 1995, after getting a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications, I joined my father full time as a Regional Sales Director. Within one year of working there, I had built up a field force of 200 independent agents throughout the state. Shortly thereafter, I earned my LUTCF professional designation and went back to Fresno State for my Master of Arts in Mass Communication and Journalism, which I was awarded in 2004. I also gained entry into the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table in 2007 and qualified for 9 straight Protective Life company conventions. In 2015, I was the top Managing Director for total life production with Transamerica Agency Network, qualifying for their conventions in 2014 and 2015. I obtained my license to broker Property & Casualty Insurance in 2017.
In 2008, my father got an offer he couldn’t refuse and sold his agency. During this time, an opportunity opened up to head the Life and Financial Services Division at MVP Insurance in Clovis, a large, seven figure revenue P&C firm. I chose to make this move with the understanding that I could continue to run my life insurance brokerage. By doing so, it allowed me to have over 25 top rated carriers to choose from, while still giving me access to Sr. VP’s and CEO’s of these companies should I need underwriting leverage. For a quarter of a century, I have worked with CPA’s, attorneys and top independent life producers, helping their clients cover life insurance needs.
In 2014 I made the decision to create strategic partnerships with a couple highly successful firms in which I would be the “go to” guy for them and their advisors for Life Insurance, Long Term Care, Disability and Annuities.
